After more than a decade of professional photography, I returned to cyanotype out of necessity, and it changed how I see. My process is slow and collaborative. Cyanotype taught me how to step outside the extractive nature of most photo-based practices and focus on time, light, and care—giving agency to the materials and letting them shape the image with me. It’s a way of revealing what’s often overlooked, a reminder that what we choose to notice makes its own legacy.
